Profile
After earning a master’s degree from the Graduate School of Environmental Science, Hokkaido University, Tomofumi Ono conducted research on sustainable grassland use and community development at the Institute of Geography, Mongolian Academy of Sciences. He later obtained a Ph.D. in Environmental Science from Hokkaido University and continued research at the Graduate School of Global Environmental Science, focusing on self-reliant communities and local commons.
In April 2023, he founded an environmental consulting and planning office, where he promotes projects related to environmental sustainability and community development. He is also an officially certified 2030 SDGs Facilitator.
